Request deletion of your data
Individuals and authorised organisations may request deletion of eligible personal information associated with DataMonks services, subject to applicable legal, security and retention requirements.

Process
How a deletion request works
Requests are handled according to the data, the service involved and DataMonks' role in that processing.
Identify the account or service
Include your name, account email, organisation where applicable, the DataMonks service concerned and any connected platform relevant to the request.
Verify identity or authority
DataMonks may request reasonable information to confirm that the requester is authorised to act, particularly before deleting account or customer-controlled information.
Determine who controls the data
Where DataMonks processes information for another business, that organisation may be the controller. We may coordinate the request with that organisation or direct the requester to it.
Delete or anonymise eligible information
Eligible information is deleted or anonymised subject to applicable legal, contractual, security, fraud-prevention and retention requirements.
Consider connected services
Deleting information held by DataMonks does not automatically delete information independently retained by a connected third-party platform or provider.
Important
Do not send authentication secrets
Never send a password, access token, API key, private key or other authentication secret with a deletion request.
Safe first contact: identify the account/service and the request. We will tell you if additional verification is required.
